A Giiftii gift registry is a free universal registry that holds gifts from any store in one list per milestone occassion. You register for what you actually want, whether that's a wedding, a baby shower or a housewarming, share one link with guests, and they shop from your registry list.
Yes. Creating, sharing and updating a Giiftii registry is free, with no fees taken from your gifts. It's free for guests too, and they pay only the retailer's price for whatever they buy. Giiftii may earn a small commission on some retailer links, at no extra cost to anyone.
Yes. Giiftii is a universal registry, so you can add gifts from any store, brand or website, from small local boutiques to international labels. Real registries on Giiftii combine retailers such as Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn Kids, Anthropologie, Ethan Allen, Macy's and Amazon in a single list.
A store registry only holds that one retailer's products, so most couples and parents end up running three or four of them and guests have to check each. A universal registry holds gifts from every store in one list, so guests follow a single link and nothing gets bought twice.
Yes. Build one wedding registry that spans every store you want, from cookware and china to furniture and honeymoon-worthy extras. Because it isn't tied to a single retailer, you can register at a department store and a small local shop without asking guests to visit two separate lists.
Yes. A Giiftii baby registry covers everything for a baby shower in one place, mixing big-box essentials with specialist baby brands and boutique pieces. Registries on Giiftii pull in retailers like Pottery Barn Kids, Snugglebugz, Momcozy and Amazon, so guests shop one list rather than four.
Yes. Giiftii registries work for any milestone, and a new home is one of the most useful. Register for the things your new home actually needs. Add items from a hardware store, a décor brand and your favourite local shop on one list, and Mark as Purchased keeps duplicates off your doorstep.
Set it up alongside your wedding website, well before the first pre-wedding event, since guests buy gifts from the engagement party onward. It is recommended that you revisit your registry after each milestone: your engagement party, your bridal shower, and again a few weeks before the wedding.
Many parents start around 12 weeks, toward the end of the first trimester, though there's no single right time. Aim to have it finished about four weeks before your shower, or by the time invitations go out, so guests have a full list to shop from.
Register for at least two gifts per guest so people still have real choice late on. A registry of around 100–150 items for 51–100 guests, and 150–225 items for 101–150 guests is a good benchmark. Baby and housewarming registries need far fewer, since guest lists are smaller. < p>
Spread them widely so every guest finds something comfortable. A list full of big-ticket items pushes people off your registry and toward whatever they can find, while a list with nothing substantial leaves generous relatives without a meaningful option. Don't shy away from the stand mixer or the stroller, either: close family often go in on those together.
Every item has a Mark as Purchased button. When a guest buys a gift, they mark it, and it shows as Purchased to everyone else viewing the registry. That's what keeps two guests from buying the same stroller or the same dinnerware set, with no returns to sort out afterward.
For weddings, no. Etiquette still keeps registry information off the invitation itself, so put the link on your wedding website and let family spread it by word of mouth. Shower and housewarming invitations are the exception, where including registry details is both accepted and helpful.
Yes. Because Giiftii registries accept items from anywhere, you can add gift cards and experience gifts the same way you add products. They're useful for guests who prefer to let you choose, and for couples who already own most of the household basics.
